lyrics

Lubricated with liquor, I’m passed out on my bed.
I’m wishing it was winter, for the heat’s getting to my head.
I’m having a vision of a man going to his grave.
I need to make a decision. Should I smile or should I wave?

And after a while, I’ll find my life is gone.
But in the meantime, I’ll live as I’ve always done.
For what good is death without a life that’s come before?
So give me a start, and I’ll run when I hit the floor.

I can’t find a job, so all I can do is sit
And dream of a better life, where I had work, where I was rich.
But that’s just not enough, dreams can’t be just wished for.
You have to go and get them, stand right up get out the door.

Life can pass us by so fast…
